Revolutionise cleaning in your facility
Despite the fact that the standard mop and bucket has
an average dirt removal rating of only 30 to 40 per
cent, it’s still a commonly used method of cleaning,
observes cleaning and hygiene supplier Abco Products.
On top of this, cleaning restaurants, hotel lobbies, kitchens
and stairs can be a hassle when you are tied to huge
machines that don’t allow you to manoeuvre throughout small
hallways, corridors and doorways.
‘The i-mop is here to change that,’ says James Bagshaw,
Abco’s Managing Director. ‘It can remove more than 97 per
cent of dirt from floors, as its intense scrubbing motion pulls
dirt from grout lines and areas that a standard mop and
bucket simply can’t reach. This is why it is so revolutionary.’
The i-mop is designed with the flexibility and versatility
of a standard mop, but with the same power as a full-size
scrubber dryer. With no mop and bucket spreading dirty
water, floors will be cleaner than ever.
The i-mop has also been proven to reduce cleaning time,
as it is up to 80 per cent faster at cleaning than a standard
mop and bucket. An area that would normally take 30 minutes
to clean only takes five minutes with the i-mop, with the added
convenience of filling up the mop at a normal-sized basin.
An alternate scrubber dryer has the capacity to run for only
two to three hours before requiring eight hours of downtime to
charge its in-built batteries. The i-mop, however, comes with
portable batteries, which allow the operator to run the machine
24/7 if necessary, making the most of tight cleaning schedules.
‘It was built with the cleaner in mind,’ explains Bagshaw.
‘Standard scrubber dryers, which deliver the same 46-centimetre
scrub width, can weigh in at 100 kilograms or more.’ The
ergonomic i-mop weighs only 22 kilograms, meaning it can be
lifted up and down stairs, and easily transported.

The i-mop at a glance
Flexible and fast
The i-mop features a high-speed twin brush scrubber-dryer
deck with a working area of 46 centimetres (18 inches) – the
same as with a conventional walk-behind scrubber, but
with incomparable agility. The two counter-rotating brushes
give you a smooth experience and allow you to control the
machine, even with one hand. Clean around and underneath
objects, just like a mop.
Swap out the brushes very easily for a different pair
depending on your needs, with different brush and pad
options available. With more than 350 rotations per minute
and 22 kilograms of brush pressure, the i-mop makes short
work out of any cleaning job and can clean more than
1000 square meters per hour.
Do more with less
Featuring a quick exchange, the lithium-ion battery system
makes the i-mop a real cleaning workhorse. A single charge
will last for more than one hour, and with a quick recharge
time of only one hour, you will get an additional hour of
running time. For those big jobs, the i-mop experiences
no downtime, as with its two sets of batteries you can work
from one set while the other is recharging. This allows you to
reduce your fleet of machines and do more with less.
Click on, click off
Fill, refill and empty the machine easily with the i-mop’s
solution tanks. No longer bound to fixed filling stations, the
tank can be filled from any sink. Switch between chemicals
in a matter of seconds by clicking on a different solution tank.
You will be surprised by how water-efficient the i-mop is.
Flip the switch
Operating the machine is easy, with all programming already
set and controlled from a simple dial to select the desired
operating mode. Aside from scrub and dry, separate scrub
modes are available for intensive deep cleaning. The i-mop’s
‘eco mode’ enables additional water savings when only a
little is needed, and also protects any water-sensitive floors
I go where you go
The i-mop has been designed in such a way that it takes
up very little floor space when not in use. You can store it
in a closet nearby so it’s always within reach, carry it easily
up and down stairs, and load it into your regular personal
vehicle. So, whatever the type of job, the i-mop will be right
there with you.
